my name is emily de lima.

 I am a Brazilian-American artist and designer based in Queens, NYC, working across various mediums.

I graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor's of Architecture degree.

My work draws from various mythologies and cosmologies to explore themes of origin, cultural sensitivity, and how things function. I often think about how knowledge is passed down through stories, traditions, and craft, and how we as humans have used these methods to understand the meaning we create across time and place. 

Through highly saturated, colorful work i craft ethereal scenes and spaces that carry a dreamlike quality across themes of theosophy and scientific concepts. i am particularly inspired by astronomy and folklore stories across cultures, and put great care into creating works that honor the universe and our place within it.
